Your Favorite Contractor Hunks Have a New Memoir!

HGTV's favorite twins Jonathan and Drew Scott released their memoir It Takes Two: Our Story on September 5th. The memoir tells tales from their childhood including their pursuit in business which started when they were just seven-years-old.

This memoir follows their New York Times bestseller Dream Home: The Property Brothers’ Ultimate Guide to Finding & Fixing Your Perfect House. The former models/actors-turned-contractors have risen to fame flipping houses on HGTV shows like Property Brothers and Brother vs. Brother. The memoir is narrated with the banter and eccentricity that fans have come to adore.

The Scott brothers tell relatable stories of how achieving your dream isn’t always a straightforward path. They talk about their upbringing in Canada, their stint in clown school, and a string of random jobs they had before they began their careers in real estate and home improvement. Drew was an athlete and dreamt of a career in professional basketball. Jonathan used to build stages for magic shows. The pair worked many jobs for the money, including mall cop, bikini store manager, personal trainer, and flight attendant. In the memoir, they say, “All the wacky business ventures we got into as kids had shown us that extra effort always paid off. We couldn’t wait to see where hard work and perseverance would eventually take us.”

In an interview with E! News, Jonathan Scott claims that the memoir is simply “an honest look” into their lives and omits nothing. The two hope their new book provides readers and fans with inspiration and a good laugh. Watch the interview here.
