Are your favorite books on the list?

Get ready, because there are a lot of TV adaptations coming this year. From Netflix to BBC, a lot of our favorite characters and stories will be told on the little screen. We're excited to have compiled this list of all of the book to TV adaptations to look out for this year! If you haven't read the book, get to it before your show premieres!

In Season 3 of Outlander, we're back with Jamie and Claire. We expect to see more flashbacks of Claire and Frank and hopefully learn more about what has happened to Jamie since Claire's been gone. No release date has been confirmed, but we should expect it sometime in February or March!

3) American Gods by Neil Gaiman

If you haven't read all 13 of these, are you even allowed to watch the show?! Just kidding. You should definitely read these, though. I'm eager to see if the show lives up to my childhood obsession with this series, because it is JUST SO GOOD! Season one of Unfortunate Events premieres on Netflix this Friday the 13th!

5) His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman

Ok, by now you're probably like, "Why redo what has already been done?" Well, like Unfortunate Events, Philip Pullman's, His Dark Materials Trilogy was adapted into the movie, The Golden Compass, which didn't do so well. We were all rooting for it, but it just didn't do the a great job. No cast for this adaptation has been released, but His Dark Materials, is expected late this year on BBC.

6) Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

This book will be adapted as a 13 episode series on Netflix! Selena Gomez is the producer for the adaptation of Jay Asher's best-selling book. The show stars Dylan Minnette and Katherine Langford. We expect it sometime this year, but no release date has been announced.

Coming to Hulu April 26th, we've been shaking in our boots waiting on this adaptation. Starring Elizabeth Moss, Alexis Bledel, Samira Wiley, and many other big names, Margaret Atwood's dystopian novel is timely and dark.

9) Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

This adaptation is another one with a stellar cast. Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoe Kravitz all star in the adaptation premiering February 26th on HBO. These women portray characters who are all somehow connected to a murder... Nice!

10) Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
