Hillary Clinton to Write a Book of Essays

The essays will dive deep into her presidential defeat

The world hasn’t heard much from Hillary Clinton following her loss in the 2016 presidential election, outside the occasional sighting at bookstores or on hikes.

That’s about to change, though, as Clinton is set to release a book of essays detailing her political year. The essays, which as of right now are untitled, are expected to delve into the heated nature of the presidential campaign, her feelings on Election Day, and other thoughts on the politics of today’s nation.

Simon & Schuster will be responsible for publishing the book, which is scheduled to be released in the fall.

Clinton has written or co-written six books during her political career, including Living History, which was published in 2003. Her most recent book, Stronger Together, was a campaign manifesto written alongside running mate Tim Kaine and published by Simon & Schuster last year.

Books seem to be the way politicians keep busy these days. Clinton is also planning on creating an illustrated version of her book, It Takes a Village. Judging by the tone she took during the election season, it will be interesting to see if Clinton goes in a new direction with her essays.
